Raid ends on a high for police as plants worth £40k are seized
Police who seized cannabis plants worth an estimated GBP40,000 this week have sent a warning to other similar 'gardeners', saying: "We may knock on your door soon." Officers of Devon and Cornwall Police carried out an early morning raid in Hayle on Thursday - and left with what they were looking for. What was described as a "healthy cannabis grow" was removed from the property, with the plants estimated to have a street value of GBP40,000.
However, police believe this isn't the only place in the area growing cannabis, and warned: "We may be giving you an early knock on your door soon. Posting about the raid on Facebook on Friday, the Hayle and St Ives Police team, said: "An early morning raid in Hayle yesterday (Thursday, August 25) proved very fruitful. "A healthy cannabis grow was discovered and seized. An estimated street value of up to 40K.
"Local officers believe this isn't the only grow in the area. We may be giving you an early knock on your door soon. "If you have information that someone near you has a cannabis grow, please email [email protected] with the details or contact Crimestoppers."
